Barinder Goyal thanks Arvind Kejriwal for approving Lehragaga Medical College with 100 MBBS seats, 440 beds, and prioritizing employees’ welfare.

Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Sh. Arvind Kejriwal met with Punjab Cabinet Minister Barinder Goyal on Thursday. Goyal expressed gratitude for the decision to establish the Medical College in Lehragaga and for giving the employees’ cause top consideration.

The Punjab Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, recently approved these pro-people and pro-employees initiatives.

In the meeting, Goyal stated, “The establishment of a Medical College in Lehragaga is a people-centric step that will bring quality healthcare closer to the doorsteps of common citizens and reduce their dependence on distant cities for advanced medical treatment.”

With 440 beds and 100 MBBS seats, the proposed Medical College, according to the Cabinet Minister, will improve the public health system in the Malwa region and provide chances for young people who want to study medicine.

“The Cabinet’s approval to adjust the staff of Baba Hira Singh Bhattal Institute in government departments is a clear message that this government stands firmly with its employees and has ensured their job security through timely intervention,” stated Sh. Barinder Kumar Goyal, highlighting the workers’ welfare decision.

He gave assurances that the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Mann, is still dedicated to advancing public healthcare and safeguarding workers’ rights. He said that thousands of people in the area would benefit from the opening of the Medical College in Lehragaga and that the government’s prompt delivery of justice and relief was demonstrated by the resolution of the employees’ dispute.
