Punjab Ministers invite Meghalaya and Puducherry CMs to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at Sri Anandpur Sahib next month.

Punjab Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh formally invited Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr. Conrad Kongkal Sangma to attend the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, continuing Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann‘s initiative to invite chief ministers from across the nation. Meanwhile, PWD Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO and Water Resources Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal met with Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangasamy and formally invited him to the main events that will take place at Sri Anandpur Sahib next month.

The chief minister was updated by the cabinet ministers on the religious and cultural events being held at the state level to honor Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, who gave His life in defense of the values of freedom of conscience, faith, and morality. They also provided information on the main events at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to 25, as well as other noteworthy aspects of the commemorations.

Dr. Ravjot Singh expressed his appreciation for the numerous commemorative events being held at various sacred locations connected to the life, teachings, and ultimate sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The Punjab government is organizing these events to commemorate this momentous occasion.

Notably, in honor of the Ninth Guru Sahib’s 350th martyrdom anniversary, the Punjab government has assigned its cabinet ministers to personally invite chief ministers from every state. In order to ensure that everyone in the nation participates in the celebration of Guru Sahib’s enduring legacy, these ministers have been traveling to other states to issue invitations on behalf of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Light and Sound Shows, Kirtan Darbars, and congregations at holy locations around Punjab are all part of the month-long events, which started with the Ardas at Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib in Delhi. On November 22, the culmination of four Nagar Kirtans—from Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Gurdaspur, Faridkot, and Takht Sri Damdama Sahib (Punjab)—will take place in Sri Anandpur Sahib. A Kirtan Darbar, a Special Session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, and a Sarbat Dharam Sammelan will be the primary activities.
