Chandigarh: Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh has announced a significant expansion in the Punjab Health Card Scheme, aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for residents across the state. The move includes the addition of more treatments and surgeries under the existing health coverage program.

Expansion of Punjab Health Card Scheme for Better Treatment Access

The updated Punjab Health Card Scheme now includes 17 additional diseases and surgical procedures, allowing beneficiaries to receive a wider range of treatments. This step is expected to reduce financial pressure on families needing critical medical care.

Officials said the expansion strengthens the overall healthcare safety net for citizens.

Health Card Covers ₹10 Lakh Per Family
