Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav meets SC Commission Chair Jasvir Singh Garhi to discuss SC/ST Act enforcement, promises swift action and directives.

Gaurav Yadav, the state police chief, met with Sardar Jasvir Singh Garhi, the chairman of the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission.

Sardar Garhi provided information about the meeting, stating that it covered topics such as the appointment of a DGP level officer at the state level and the deputation of SP level authorities in each district of Punjab state to handle cases pertaining to the SCST Act.

According to him, the Police Chief promised prompt action in this regard and promised to issue directives shortly.
