CM Bhagwant Mann condemns BJP for fake video, vows to obey Sri Akal Takht orders, and stresses inclusive development in Punjab.

Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, strongly criticized the BJP for allegedly plotting to incite communal strife in Punjab by censoring the footage of former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi’s Delhi Assembly. In addition to pointing out that forensic evidence has unequivocally shown that Atishi never said the word “Guru,” the Chief Minister claimed that the video was altered with bogus subtitles, an act of beadbi (sacrilege).

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann defended the Punjab Police action regarding the beadbi of Guru Sahibs, pointing out that the BJP is pursuing an anti-Punjab agenda on issues ranging from Chandigarh and BBMB to Panjab University, while opposition leaders were scrambling to defend lies in the absence of any real issue against the state government. He also noted that the falsified clip does not appear anywhere in the official Assembly records.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “The BJP has pursued the politics of communalism, divisiveness, and hatred since its inception,” during a press conference in Bhatinda. The party has begun putting this agenda into practice in Punjab in order to split people along sectarian lines as the Assembly elections draw near. By adding its own subtitles, the BJP altered the former Delhi Chief Minister’s video. The AAP leader never used the word “Guru,” according to even the forensic investigation.

The Chief Minister claimed that the Sikh sangat’s sensibilities had been severely wounded by the saffron party’s long-standing tactic of fabricating facts to serve political ends. They have committed sacrilege by altering the footage. This is unacceptable, and they will pay for their transgressions,” he added, adding that it was clear the tape was altered because the former Delhi Chief Minister’s statements did not appear in the House’s official proceedings.

CM Bhagwant  Mann made reference to BJP leader Kapil Mishra when he stated, “The leader who posted the altered video on social media will have to deal with the fallout from his actions.” It was appropriate for the Punjab Police to file a case against him. No Delhi Assembly privilege is at stake here. He has been charged with offending the feelings of the general public and will be dealt with harshly in accordance with the law.

CM Bhagwant  Mann claimed that the saffron party had a hostile attitude toward Punjab, citing the BJP’s anti-Punjab stance on topics like Chandigarh, BBMB, Panjab University, Republic Day tableaus, and other concerns. “Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu, state BJP President Sunil Jakhar, and former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh are in a difficult position today as they are compelled to defend the BJP’s animosity towards Punjab with a litany of falsehoods,” he continued.

“The Prime Minister never even found time to accept the invitation to attend events commemorating the 350th Shaheedi Diwas (martyrdom anniversary) of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji,” the Chief Minister remarked, adding that the BJP and its leadership showed scant regard for the great Sikh Guru Sahibs. During these events, neither the prime minister nor any other top federal politician paid homage in Punjab. This shows a limited and restricted perspective about Sikhs and our esteemed Guru Sahibs.

The Congress, Akali Dal, and BJP, according to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, were all taking the same stance against Punjab and its government. He went on, “These parties even issue identical press notes at different times during the day only to spread venom against the state government.”

CM Bhagwant Mann attacked Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal, saying, “Sukhbir Badal is shedding crocodile tears over Punjab’s issues, but these are the same leaders who consented to granting central university status to Panjab University and who hailed Modi for the draconian farm laws.”

“Even now, they continue to give party tickets to gangsters,” he claimed, blaming these parties for the past patronage of drug smugglers and gangsters. CM Bhagwant Mann made fun of former Congress Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa by saying, “Randhawa should remember that his father had congratulated former PM Indira Gandhi for Operation Bluestar.” The Congress party that conducted Operation Bluestar at the most sacred Sikh shrine was represented by the current Gurdaspur Lok Sabha MP.

The Chief Minister claimed that opposition politicians had lost their composure since there was no genuine grievance against the Punjab government. “No stone is being left unturned to ensure inclusive development, and my government remains fully committed to the welfare of every section of society,” he declared.

“Government schools are being upgraded into Schools of Eminence and, due to the sustained efforts of the state government, Punjab has secured the top position nationwide in the National Assessment Survey conducted by the Government of India, surpassing Kerala for the first time,” CM Bhagwant Mann said, highlighting educational accomplishments. Of the students from government schools, 265 have passed JEE Mains, 45 have passed JEE Advanced, and 848 have qualified for NEET.

Principals and teachers are being dispatched to Singapore, Finland, and Ahmedabad for professional training, according to the chief minister. Regarding religious issues, he stated, “I will present all the facts before Sri Akal Takht Sahib on January 15.” As our community’s highest temporal seat, Sri Akal Takht Sahib is revered by all Sikhs.

CM Bhagwant  Mann unequivocally asserted, “For me, Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji is above everything and any order received from there will be obeyed in true letter and spirit. For me and my family, its command was, is, and always will be paramount. It is a highly revered place from where Sikhs derive divine peace and strength.”

Clarifying the constitution of an SIT to probe the 328 missing saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Chief Minister said, “There is no politics behind forming the SIT. Only those who have committed this sin are afraid of the probe. The SGPC was elected around 14 years ago and has continued to function despite many members having passed away or moved abroad,” and said misleading statements were made by SGPC authorities whenever it suited their interests.
