The Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 opened on a high note in Mohali, attracting investments worth over ₹10,000 crore on its first day. The summit, attended by leading industrialists and investors, showcased Punjab as a promising investment destination under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
Addressing the gathering, Arvind Kejriwal emphasized Punjab’s transformation into a business-friendly state capable of competing with global markets. “Our government has already attracted investments worth ₹1.50 lakh crore in the last four years, and the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 is a continuation of our vision to make Punjab a hub for industrial and technological growth,” he said.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann highlighted the 45-day single-window clearance system and pro-industry policies introduced to simplify approvals and foster entrepreneurship. “Major industry leaders such as HMEL, Tata Steel, JSW, Trident Group, and Hero Industries have announced expansion plans in Punjab. The Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 is more than just signing MOUs—it is about building a long-term industrial ecosystem and generating large-scale employment for the youth,” he said.

The summit also focused on Punjab’s strengths in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and skilled manpower development. CM Mann noted that Punjab’s youth are excelling in competitive exams like UPSC, JEE, and NEET, thanks to government initiatives in training and educational reforms. He added, “With operational airports, improved road connectivity, and world-class infrastructure, Punjab offers investors a conducive environment for rapid industrial growth.”
Arvind Kejriwal underlined the importance of human capital investment, stating, “Countries like Japan, Singapore, and South Korea achieved exponential industrial growth by investing in their people and engaging with industry leaders. Punjab is following the same path through the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 to ensure sustainable development.”

Highlighting the impact of reforms, Kejriwal said, “In the last four years, Punjab has received real investments totaling ₹1.5 lakh crore, creating 5.5 lakh employment opportunities for the youth. Our Fast Track Punjab portal guarantees approvals within 45 days, with self-certification for small businesses and MSMEs, making it easier than ever for industries to operate here.”

The summit also emphasized reducing dependency on imports and promoting local manufacturing. Kejriwal urged investors to leverage Punjab’s skilled workforce and entrepreneurial spirit to produce goods locally and export globally, including competing with China in industrial production.
