Punjab Cabinet Minister Balbir Singh on Tuesday flagged off a group of devotees from Ward No. 2 of Patiala Rural who are travelling under the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Scheme. The initiative provides free pilgrimage travel for senior citizens and devotees across the state, promoting spiritual tourism and social welfare.
During the event, Balbir Singh greeted the pilgrims warmly and extended his best wishes for a safe and comfortable journey. The minister highlighted that the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Scheme reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to serving elderly citizens and ensuring that they can undertake religious journeys without financial burden.
