The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has launched a massive sports infrastructure initiative aimed at transforming the state’s rural and urban sports landscape. Under this ambitious plan, playgrounds in Punjab are being developed on a large scale, with a total of 3,100 modern playgrounds being constructed at a cost of ₹1,250 crore.
Officials said the project to expand playgrounds in Punjab is designed to promote sports culture, improve fitness levels among youth, and provide world-class facilities at the village level.
