State-Wide Sporting Festival Commences in Bathinda
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann officially launched the fourth season of Punjab’s flagship sports event at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium in Bathinda.
The multi-stage tournament spans 86 days and covers block, district, and state-level competitions.
Nearly 10 lakh players from across 23 districts are set to participate in this grand edition.
In addition, the inaugural ceremony featured vibrant cultural performances and a traditional march past by regional district contingents.
The official state torch reached Bathinda after traveling through all districts over three weeks.

The Khedan Vatan Punjab Diyan Season 4 launch reflects the state administration’s strategy to build grassroots athletic networks.
Under the updated framework, state gold medal winners will receive ₹10,000.
Silver and bronze medalists will earn ₹7,000 and ₹5,000 respectively.
For the first time, veteran players above 70 years will also receive dedicated cash prizes.
During the opening ceremony, Chief Minister Mann honored international medalists Harjinder Kaur and Lovepreet Singh with ₹50 lakh each.

Six franchise teams are competing at the I. S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
