Jalandhar court orders removal of fake video targeting AAP’s Atishi; social media platforms to act, BJP criticized for spreading doctored content.
A Jalandhar court has issued a strong ruling in the fake video case involving former Delhi Chief Minister and prominent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi, dealing a serious blow to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). A significant blow to the BJP’s politics of deception and provocation has been dealt by the court, which ordered the video’s immediate removal from all major social media platforms in response to the forensic investigation that convincingly proved the video was manipulated and created.
The phony and altered video must be taken down by Facebook, Instagram, X (previously Twitter), and Telegram within 24 hours, the court said. Taking a strong stance against the dissemination of false information, the court has also ordered all social media sites to remove any identical or comparable videos as soon as they receive information from the Cyber Crime Department, making it abundantly evident that the spread of such fake content will not be allowed.
AAP Punjab President Aman Arora responded to the court’s ruling by stating that the BJP’s duplicity, lies, and malevolent objectives have once again been fully revealed. “Over the past few days, the BJP attempted to propagate outright lies by falsely associating the name of our senior leader and former chief minister of Delhi Atishi with an alleged insult to our esteemed Gurus in the Assembly.” Aman Arora claimed that this was a planned plot to intentionally undermine communal unity and offend Punjabis’ religious feelings.

According to the state president of the AAP Punjab, the BJP’s propaganda has previously been revealed. The tapes that Kapil Mishra and other BJP leaders, as well as its “allied” partners, the Congress and Akali Dal, released earlier were blatantly fabricated and altered, according to forensic analysis. They disseminated these fake videos in spite of being aware of the truth. He continued, “Today, the Jalandhar court ruled unequivocally that these videos are fraudulent, fake, and nothing more than deception, and it has ordered their removal from all social media platforms.”
“The court order has made it clear that the BJP survives on cheap, low-level, and deceptive politics,” Aman Arora said in a stinging attack on the party. This demonstrates unequivocally that the BJP will stop at nothing to maintain its petty and empty politics, including lying about the most ignominious things. In Punjab, the Bharatiya Janata Party has changed its name to the Bharatiya Jhootha Party, whose sole goal is to operate through deceit, defamation, and communal poisoning, he claimed.
He called for a complete and utter public apology from everyone who disseminated and advertised the phony video. The leaders of the BJP, Congress, and Akali Dal, who blatantly disseminated and promoted this phony movie, ought to apologize to the Punjabi people, in my opinion. They attempted to exploit Punjabis’ religious beliefs for their own political ends. Their scheme has been fully exposed by the court’s order,” he claimed.
