Punjab : Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has instructed the Rupnagar district administration to put comprehensive logistical and infrastructure arrangements in place to smoothly manage the huge influx of devotees expected at Sri Anandpur Sahib during the sacred festival of Hola Mohalla.
While reviewing preparations in a meeting with senior officials, Harjot Singh Bains reiterated the Punjab Government’s commitment under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to facilitate the smooth management of the three-day religious event. He closely examined crowd control strategies, civic facilities, and infrastructure readiness to ensure that the celebrations uphold the spiritual and cultural values of the Sikh tradition.
Harjot Singh Bains Orders Eight-Acre Tent City, 60 Shuttle Buses and 25 Parking Zones for Devotees
The district authorities have been instructed to develop an eight-acre Tent City along with a dedicated Trolley City for pilgrims. Transport arrangements will include 60 shuttle buses and 100 e-rickshaws to improve mobility. Additionally, 25 designated parking zones with proper pedestrian walkways will be set up to manage vehicular movement efficiently.

Special emphasis has been placed on maintaining cleanliness, ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow, and preventing any inconvenience to devotees visiting Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib. The minister stated that every necessary step has been taken to provide a comfortable and spiritually enriching experience for the Sangat.
Harjot Singh Bains further added that the district administration remains on high alert to guarantee smooth execution of all arrangements throughout the festival period.
