With the fresh Ganga Acrowools Limited investment in Punjab, an additional 1,500-plus employment opportunities are expected to be created. The Minister emphasized that this expansion will significantly boost the local economy and enhance livelihood opportunities for youth in the region.
₹53 Crore Green Energy Initiative
A notable component of the Ganga Acrowools Limited investment in Punjab is the ₹53 crore allocation for a paddy stubble-based boiler and turbine. This plant will consume nearly 1,20,000 tonnes of paddy stubble annually—approximately 10,000 tonnes per month.
The initiative is expected to help make farms within a 20–25 kilometre radius fire-free, contributing to environmental sustainability while supporting industrial growth. The move aligns with the state government’s efforts to tackle stubble burning and promote eco-friendly industrial practices.
Strengthening Punjab’s Industrial Growth Story
The enhanced Ganga Acrowools Limited investment in Punjab is expected to create a strong ripple effect across local value chains, MSMEs, and ancillary units. It reinforces Punjab’s reputation as a hub for high-value textile manufacturing and export-oriented industries.
With this large-scale expansion, the Ganga Acrowools Limited investment in Punjab stands as a testament to the state’s evolving industrial landscape and its growing appeal to domestic and global investors.
