Minister urges District Council and Block Samiti members to promote government welfare schemes among citizens

Punjab – Cabinet Minister Ravjot Singh addressed the newly sworn-in District Council and Block Samiti members, emphasizing the importance of government welfare schemes and urging officials to actively promote them among citizens. During the oath-taking ceremony, the minister specifically highlighted the Free Health Card Scheme Punjab, which provides up to ₹10 lakh in free medical treatment to eligible residents.

Speaking at the event, Ravjot Singh said, “It is our duty to take all the schemes being run by the government in the state to the people. Get the health card for free treatment up to 10 lakh made and take maximum benefit of the scheme.”

The Free Health Card Scheme Punjab aims to ensure that high-quality healthcare is accessible to all, removing financial barriers for residents in need of critical medical services. Under this initiative, eligible beneficiaries can avail themselves of free treatment for serious illnesses, including hospitalization, surgery, and specialized care, up to ₹10 lakh per family.

Officials at the ceremony were instructed to actively facilitate the issuance of health cards and guide citizens on how to use them effectively. The minister emphasized that outreach and awareness are crucial to ensure that the maximum number of people benefit from the scheme.

This initiative reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to providing equitable healthcare access to all residents, strengthening public trust and improving overall health outcomes in the state.
