In view of the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh has sought urgent intervention from the Union Minister of External Affairs to ensure the safe evacuation of Punjabis stranded in the Middle East.
In a formal letter addressed to the Ministry of External Affairs, Dr. Ravjot Singh highlighted the seriousness of the ongoing tensions, noting that the situation poses a direct and immediate threat to the safety of Punjab residents abroad. He requested an urgent meeting to discuss coordinated steps for the safe and secure evacuation of affected citizens, emphasizing the need for prompt action given the critical nature of the crisis.
Dr. Ravjot Singh Reaches Out to Stranded Punjabis in UAE, Ensures State Support
Meanwhile, Dr. Ravjot Singh personally reached out to numerous tourists and residents from Punjab who are currently stranded at various airports across the UAE due to the ongoing conflict. During these telephonic conversations, he inquired about the challenges they are facing and reassured them that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is actively working to ensure their safety. He further confirmed that the Punjab government is in continuous touch with the Central Government and Indian Embassies in the region to monitor the situation closely.

Dr. Ravjot Singh assured the stranded citizens that all possible measures are being taken to facilitate their safe return to Punjab, and that the state administration is committed to providing timely assistance in this hour of crisis.
