CM Bhagwant Mann Highlights Mukh Mantri Mavaan Dhian Yojna in Punjab Assembly

Mukh Mantri Mavaan Dhian Yojna aims to empower women in Punjab with monthly financial assistance and strengthen social welfare initiatives.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday highlighted the Mukh Mantri Mavaan Dhian Yojna while addressing the Punjab Legislative Assembly, stating that the initiative will provide financial support and dignity to women across the state.

During the discussion on the Governor’s Address, the Chief Minister said that the Mukh Mantri Mavaan Dhian Yojna will provide ₹1000 per month to women above 18 years of age from the general category, while women from the Scheduled Caste category will receive ₹1500 per month as financial assistance.

According to the Chief Minister, the Mukh Mantri Mavaan Dhian Yojna has already generated excitement and happiness among women across Punjab. He said the financial assistance will help families meet essential expenses and strengthen women’s economic independence.

The Chief Minister further announced that registration for the Mukh Mantri Mavaan Dhian Yojna will begin on April 13, allowing eligible beneficiaries to enroll under the scheme.

Highlighting the broader welfare agenda of the Aam Aadmi Party government, Mann said the Mukh Mantri Mavaan Dhian Yojna is part of a larger effort to improve the lives of people through social security and development initiatives.

He also spoke about major achievements in sectors such as health, education, employment and infrastructure. The Chief Minister said the state government has already provided 63,943 government jobs to youth in a transparent manner without recommendations or bribery.

In the health sector, Mann said that 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics across the state have recorded over 5 crore OPD visits, reflecting growing public trust in government healthcare services.

Speaking about education reforms, he said that 118 Schools of Eminence are being developed to ensure quality education for students across Punjab.

The Chief Minister also highlighted initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, irrigation and industrial investment, stating that these steps will strengthen the state’s economy and create employment opportunities for the youth.

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister said the Mukh Mantri Mavaan Dhian Yojna reflects the government’s commitment to women empowerment and social welfare. He added that the Punjab Government will continue working with dedication to fulfil promises made to the people and accelerate the state’s development.
