Malout, Punjab: Advancing infrastructure and development in Malout city and surrounding areas, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit kaur (AAP) formally inaugurated key projects worth several crores on Sunday.
The Minister Baljit kaur inaugurated the local Defence Road project in Malout city, developed at a cost of ₹18 crore, along with the ongoing Malout-Fazilka Road works, aimed at improving connectivity and easing transportation in the region.

In addition to road projects, Dr. Baljit kaur inaugurated the Capital Small Finance Bank branch in village Tarkhanwala, a move expected to boost financial services and banking access for residents.
Baljit kaur Inaugurates Fakkarsar Phirni and Mandi Renovation to Boost Local Infrastructure
The Minister also laid the foundation for the construction of the phirni (peripheral road) and the renovation of the mandi in village Fakkarsar, executed at a cost of ₹1.38 crore, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving civic infrastructure and supporting local markets.

Dr. Baljit kaur emphasized that these initiatives are part of a broader strategy by the Punjab government to strengthen urban and rural development, enhance connectivity, and improve public amenities for citizens in the Malout-Fazilka region.
