Modi government foreign policy has come under sharp criticism following remarks made by Punjab Cabinet Minister and AAP state president Aman Arora, who questioned India’s growing dependence on foreign countries despite rising domestic consumption.
Arora alleged that over the past 12 years, India has failed to expand domestic production in proportion to its consumption needs. He stated that this imbalance highlights key concerns in the Modi government foreign policy, which he argued has not sufficiently strengthened self-reliance.

The minister added that the country’s current conditions clearly indicate policy shortcomings, suggesting that the Modi government foreign policy has not delivered expected results in boosting indigenous production and reducing external dependence.
