AAP Punjab has issued a sharp political statement following reports that several Rajya Sabha Members of Parliament have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to AAP Punjab leader Malvinder Singh Kang, the move is being seen as motivated by personal and business interests rather than ideology or public service.

In his statement shared on the AAP Punjab social media platform, Malvinder Singh Kang alleged that the MPs who switched sides were trying to protect their private interests and commercial engagements. He further said that although these leaders were given respect and position within their previous party, their decision amounts to “betrayal of trust.”

AAP Punjab Condemns Defections, Reaffirms Party Unity and Stability

AAP Punjab strongly criticized the development, asserting that such political shifts weaken democratic values and raise questions about political integrity. The leadership of AAP Punjab maintained that despite these changes, the party remains stable and united.

Reaffirming its stance, AAP Punjab stated that all its remaining legislators are firmly standing with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The party emphasized that its commitment to the people of Punjab remains unchanged and that governance work will continue without disruption.

The statement further added that AAP Punjab will continue to focus on development, transparency, and public welfare in the state, regardless of political turbulence at the national level.
