CM Mohan Yadav Highlights Agricultural Growth, Value Addition, and Irrigation Progress

Government focuses on boosting medicinal & spice crop production, strengthening farm-to-market value chains, and advancing irrigation under National River Linking Project

Gwalior/Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav virtually addressed the “Krishi Manthan & Agricultural Technology Fair 2026” organized in Gwalior, highlighting the state government’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen agriculture and boost farmer welfare.

Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that continuous efforts are being made to increase the production of medicinal and spice crops across the state. He added that the government is preparing to introduce a Mandi Export Policy, which will further enhance market access and promote the export of agricultural produce.

Under the Kisan Kalyan Year, the government is focusing on strengthening the value addition chain from farm to factory and orchard to market, with special attention on processing and value-added agriculture products. This initiative aims to ensure better income for farmers and create a sustainable ecosystem for agricultural entrepreneurship.

CM Mohan Yadav Highlights Progress in National River Linking Project

The Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also highlighted progress in irrigation infrastructure under the National River Linking Project, which is expected to provide consistent water supply, improve crop yield, and support long-term agricultural development in the state.

Through these measures, Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming agriculture in Madhya Pradesh, ensuring that farmers benefit from modern technology, market linkages, and sustainable practices, while strengthening the state’s position in medicinal, spice, and processed crop production.
