Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini criticizes Punjab govt for failing farmers, women, and youth; highlights Haryana’s welfare and development model.

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, addressing the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, stated that the country and its states require experienced, accountable, and public welfare-oriented governance. Politics should be a medium of service rather than a method of obtaining power; yet, the Punjab Government has reduced it to the pursuit of power alone. Referring to Punjab’s Guru tradition, the Chief Minister urged the people to reject injustice and the politics of deceit, and to help promote good government based on development, honesty, and national interest.

According to Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana’s model has the potential to serve as the foundation for effective administration across the country. Therefore, in the future, the people of Punjab should show the road out of power to those who seek votes by uttering lies. He stated that if a government is formed in Punjab under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, all of the policies that benefit the people of Haryana will be given to the people of Punjab as well.

The Chief Minister stated that both the previous Congress government and the current Aam Aadmi Party government failed to deliver on their promises to the people of Punjab. In comparison, Haryana’s double-engine government made 217 pledges during the Assembly elections and fulfilled 54 of them in a single year.

He questioned the Punjab government, asking for clarification on how much compensation it offered for cattle losses during the state’s recent floods. He stated that Haryana’s double-engine government had compensated farmers for crop damage, livestock losses, and housing damage.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini mocked those engaging in the politics of lies, stating that Punjab Chief Minister Sh. Bhagwant Mann claims that the Punjab Government will provide compensation of Rs 20,000 per acre for crop damage, whereas Aam Aadmi Party leader Sh. Arvind Kejriwal travels to Gujarat and claims that their government has provided compensation of Rs 50,000 per acre to farmers. He stated that this is a lying government that is not serving the people’s best interests.

The Chief Minister stated that the state government of Haryana has transferred Rs 1,400 crore directly into farmers’ accounts as part of the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana. In addition, farmers have received Rs 15,500 crore in compensation for crop damage during the last 11 years. He urged Punjab Chief Minister Sh. Bhagwant Mann and Congress leaders to reveal the amount of compensation they granted to farmers during their tenures.

Jokes cannot fill stomachs; four years have passed, and no work has been done.

He claimed that people judge governments based on their actions on the ground, but the Punjab Government is attempting to fill tummies with empty words. Taking a jibe, he stated that jokes cannot fill bellies; four years have passed with little work completed. Today, the people of Punjab are wondering what happened to the promises promised to them. He stated that the Punjab Government pledged to offer Rs 2,500 per month in financial support to senior folks, but even after four years, this promise has not been fulfilled. In contrast, Haryana’s double-engine government provides Rs 3,200 per month as ‘Samman Bhatta’ to senior persons.

The Chief Minister stated both the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress had pledged financial support to women in numerous states. In Punjab, too, a promise was made to deliver Rs 1,100 per month to women, but after four years in power, no lady has received a single rupee. On the other side, the Haryana government fulfilled its Sankalp Patra pledge by implementing the Lado Laxmi Yojana, which provides Rs 2,100 to women.

He stated that Haryana offers the highest sugarcane price of Rs 415 to growers. The Haryana government is always undertaking out development and public welfare projects at high speeds. The state government buys all farmers’ crops at MSP. So far, Rs 1.64 lakh crore has been deposited to the accounts of 12 lakh farmers. He requested the Aam Aadmi Party government to clarify whether it will buy all Punjab farmers’ crops at MSP. Similarly, he asked Congress leaders if they had ever purchased all crops at MSP during their tenure.

AAP makes baseless claims about the VB G Ram G Act.

The Chief Minister expressed surprise at the Aam Aadmi Party government’s resolution against the VB G Ram G Act, which was passed in the Punjab Assembly on December 30. The resolution featured no data, facts, or proposals for reform. He stated that they oppose the Act introduced by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, but the Punjab Government should first clarify what actions it has taken to improve the welfare of labourers in the state.

He said that during social audits under the MGNREGA system in Punjab, thousands of incidences of financial misappropriation were discovered in thousands of gram panchayats. However, no action has been taken against the guilty, nor have the workers been reimbursed. When Union Agriculture Minister Sh. Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Punjab, labourers claimed that they were not collecting their MGNREGA entitlements and that contractors were siphoning off payments. A social audit undertaken in only 5,915 of 13,304 gram panchayats revealed around 10,663 incidences of financial misappropriation, but no action was taken. Even when the Central team raised the matter, no recovery occurred. No action was taken against individuals responsible for corruption, and public funds intended for wages were diverted into the pockets of people who did not deserve them. He claimed that Haryana pays the highest daily wage of Rs 400 to labourers in the country. He noted that the VB G Ram G Act will strengthen and empower workers.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini also questioned the Punjab government on drug and employment concerns, asking for clarification on how many adolescents have been employed in four years, how many have been cured of drug addiction, and what action has been taken against those involved in the drug trade. He stated that in Haryana, 34,000 youths have been hired in the last year through a transparent procedure free of bribery or referrals. The government is also taking actual steps to steer youth away from narcotics.

He claimed that Punjab’s youth are suffering from drug usage and unemployment, forcing them to travel abroad illegally. However, the Punjab government has failed to give a durable solution and is instead engaging in politics.

He said that the Aam Aadmi Party has opened Mohalla Clinics in Delhi, where even drugs were not available. Similarly, in Punjab, a commitment was made to open 16,000 Mohalla Clinics. By implementing such initiatives, the Punjab government has undermined the people’s mandate.

On this occasion, BJP State President Sunil Jakhar, Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, District President Bhupinder Singh Cheema, and Rajbir Dhiman all congratulated Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini and condemned the Aam Aadmi Party administration in their speeches.
