Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini chaired a high-level meeting today to review budget expenditure and the progress of important departmental schemes. Senior officials from various departments were present.
Energy & Renewable Initiatives
CM Nayab Saini directed officials to accelerate the solarisation of agriculture pumps under the PM-KUSUM scheme to benefit the maximum number of farmers. He emphasized that surplus energy generated from solar pumps should be fed back into the government grid for public welfare. The Chief Minister also instructed the fast-tracking of rooftop solar panel installations on government buildings, bus stands, HAFED godowns, and other state-owned infrastructure, highlighting the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana’s focus on expanding renewable energy. Officials reported that surveys of 5,000 government buildings have already been completed. District Deputy Commissioners were asked to actively monitor implementation.
Transport & Electric Mobility
Regarding the Transport Department, CM Nayab Saini directed the repair and maintenance of bus stands in poor condition. Bus stands at Kanina, Barwala, Tohana, and Nigdhu are nearing completion, with work ongoing at Badli, Nilokheri, Bahal, and other locations. He also stressed expanding electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and increasing the number of electric buses to promote eco-friendly transportation and reduce carbon emissions.
Industries & MSME Development
The Chief Minister Nayab Saini urged the Industries Department to offer more incentives to small industries and MSMEs, and to create policies encouraging entrepreneurship, particularly for women and economically weaker sections, to support inclusive economic growth.

Environment & Forest Conservation
CM Nayab Saini directed strict action against the illegal felling of Khair trees, proactive measures to prevent deforestation, increasing green cover, and proper marking of trees. Special focus was given to conservation efforts in the Aravalli region.
Foreign Cooperation & NRI Engagement
He instructed the Foreign Cooperation Department to strengthen direct engagement with the NRI community and provide necessary support. The department is also working on programs to teach foreign languages to students planning to study or work abroad.
Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare
CM Saini reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing farmers’ productivity and income, calling them the backbone of Haryana’s economy. He directed opening more ‘Har Hith Stores’ and handing them over to CM PACS and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to empower women and economically weaker sections. He also emphasized promoting pulse cultivation, aiming for self-reliance (‘Aatmanirbharta’) in pulses, and encouraged organic farming through dedicated schemes.
Other Departments
The Chief Minister also reviewed budget expenditure and scheme progress for the Sainik & Ardh Sainik Welfare, Fisheries, Sports, and other key departments, ensuring effective implementation of government initiatives.
