Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Student Scheme beneficiary receives due scholarship and compensation after RTSC intervention.

The Haryana Right to Service Commission ( RTSC ) has issued directives in a case concerning the Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Student Scheme after reviewing all facts and records.

According to a Commission spokesperson, it was brought to their attention that an application submitted by Tina, a resident of Bhiwani, required reconsideration. Tina had secured 82.4% marks as per CBSE guidelines and met all eligibility criteria for the scheme.

Following the Commission’s directions, the concerned department deposited the prescribed scholarship amount of ₹8,000 into the applicant’s account within the stipulated timeline. The Commission noted that Tina had to make additional efforts, including filing appeals, to ensure the revision of her case.

Exercising powers under the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014, and considering the circumstances, the Commission also ordered ₹5,000 as compensation to the applicant, aiming to reinforce the timely delivery of services in the future.

The Commission has instructed the department to complete all formalities, ensure the payment, and submit compliance details within the prescribed timeframe. This decision underscores the government’s commitment to efficient administrative processes and ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive scheme benefits promptly.
