Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Greets Citizens on Lohri and Makar Sankranti

Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini greets citizens on Lohri and Makar Sankranti, celebrating cultural heritage and social unity in the state.

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the occasions of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. Accompanied by his wife, Smt. Suman Saini, the Chief Minister welcomed citizens at the Lohri celebration at his residence, Sant Kabir Kutir in Chandigarh.

The Chief Minister was joined by BJP State President Sh. Mohan Lal Kaushik, along with senior party leaders and officials including Chief Principal Secretary to CM Sh. Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to CM Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Haryana BJP Organization General Secretary Sh. Phanindranath Sharma, OSD to CM Sh. BB Bharti, actor Satinder Kaur Satti, and Dr. Prabhleen Singh.

During the celebration, CM Saini lit the traditional Lohri bonfire and offered oblations, symbolising gratitude to nature and prayers for the happiness and progress of Haryana. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Lohri is a symbol of India’s rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions. This festival not only strengthens social harmony but also reminds us of our traditions and values.”

He further emphasized that such festivals promote unity, equality, and inclusiveness, bringing together people from all sections of society in a shared spirit of joy and brotherhood.

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister wished happiness, prosperity, and good health to all citizens and expressed hope that the festivals would bring peace and progress to Haryana.

The celebrations highlighted Haryana’s cultural roots and reinforced the state’s commitment to preserving traditional values while fostering social unity.
