Haryana Attracts African Nations for Partnerships Across Agriculture, Industry, and Skills

African Nations Explore Multi-Sector Partnerships with Haryana in Trade, Agriculture, Industry, and Skill Development

During the Haryana–Africa Strategic Partnership Meeting held on Friday at Surajkund in Faridabad, ambassadors and high commissioners from several African countries expressed strong interest in deepening cooperation with Haryana in areas such as skill development, entrepreneurship, industrial investment, agriculture, food processing, IT, tourism, and cultural exchange. Such collaborations are expected to generate employment opportunities for the youth.

The international delegates appreciated Haryana’s investor-friendly policies, digital systems, and industrial facilitation mechanisms, expressing confidence in establishing concrete partnerships in the future. Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini assured full support from the Haryana Government to strengthen trade and cooperation at all levels.

Key Highlights from African Representatives:

  • South Africa (Peter Sacks): Emphasized interest in joint initiatives in skill and entrepreneurship programs, tourism development, youth employment, and the food processing sector, noting mutual benefits.
  • Tanzania (Anisa Kapufi): Highlighted existing partnerships, with Haryana farmers actively contributing to agriculture, trade, mining, manufacturing, and plywood industries in Tanzania. She emphasized a commitment to expanding collaborations further.
  • Rwanda (Ms. Jacqueline Mukangira): Praised Haryana’s Single Window System and efficient industrial approvals, offering a favorable environment for investors and inviting Rwandan participation in G2G and business meetings.
  • Ghana (Professor Kwasi): Noted Africa’s coffee production and Haryana’s expertise in coffee processing and marketing. Expressed interest in expanding trade in Shea Butter and joint IT and digital initiatives.
  • Uganda (Professor Joyce): Observed Haryana’s remarkable development, expressing interest in resource-based industries and manufacturing collaborations. Highlighted Uganda’s one-month free visa-on-arrival facility for Indian citizens.
  • Egypt (Deputy Chief, Ministry of Planning and Economic Cooperation): Highlighted strong trade and cultural ties, emphasizing opportunities for industrial cooperation, tourism, and cultural exchange.

The delegates collectively recognized Haryana’s progressive policies, rapid decision-making processes, and business-friendly environment as strong foundations for long-term, results-oriented partnerships with African nations.
