CM Nayab Singh Saini leads Gurugram’s 77th Republic Day 2026 celebrations, honoring martyrs, showcasing development, investment, and youth initiatives.

Gurugram :  On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that the state government’s actions consistently match its promises, creating a new model of prosperity and governance. Speaking at the district-level function in Gurugram, CM Saini paid floral tributes to martyrs at the Veer Shaheedi Memorial before unfurling the National Flag, inspecting the parade, and taking the salute from contingents including the Haryana Police, Women Police, Home Guards, and Scouts.

In his address, the Chief Minister paid homage to the nation’s freedom fighters, martyrs, and the chief architect of the Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, as well as members of the Constituent Assembly. He highlighted that Republic Day embodies the spirit of Vande Mataram, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and India’s unity in diversity, reflecting the country’s growing global stature. The celebrations marking 150 years of Vande Mataram were cited as a testament to India’s enduring cultural pride.

CM Saini stressed that Republic Day is not only a day of remembrance but also a moment to envision the nation’s present and future achievements. He recalled that the Haryana government, guided by its manifesto of 217 resolutions, has already fulfilled 54 resolutions within the first year, with work on the remaining initiatives progressing rapidly.

Haryana’s Contribution to National Growth

The Chief Minister noted that despite accounting for only 1.34% of India’s geographical area and 2.09% of its population, Haryana contributes 3.7% to the national GDP. With a per capita income of ₹3.53 lakh, the state ranks first among major Indian states. Haryana also leads in per capita GST collection, Ease of Doing Business rankings, and logistics infrastructure, while excelling in sports and international competitions, including the Olympics.

Attracting Domestic and Global Investment

CM Saini said Haryana has become the preferred destination for investors due to progressive government policies. Over the past 11 years, 12.92 lakh MSMEs have been established, generating employment for approximately 49 lakh people. The government has streamlined industrial regulations, providing over 150 services online and ensuring approvals within 12 days. Major projects include Maruti Suzuki’s largest plant in IMT Kharkhoda, a Suzuki Motorcycle plant, an alloy wheel plant by Uno Minda, the Global City Project in Gurugram, logistics hubs in Narnaul, a manufacturing cluster in Hisar, and an electronics park in Sohna.

Youth Empowerment and Employment Initiatives

Highlighting government efforts for youth, CM Saini stated that 34,000 youths were employed in the last year, with a total of 1.80 lakh jobs created in 11 years. The government also enacted laws to secure the future of youths under the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, provided 1.14 lakh skill training opportunities, and passed legislation to regulate travel agents to curb illegal employment routes.

Empowering Women Economically, Socially, and Educationally

CM Saini underlined that women’s participation is crucial for the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat-Viksit Haryana’. Under the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi scheme, 8.64 lakh women are receiving ₹2,100 per month, with ₹441 crore already disbursed, ensuring women’s financial independence and empowerment.

CM Saini concluded by reiterating that Haryana is moving forward with transparent governance, inclusive development, and systemic reforms, positioning the state as a model of prosperity and progress in India.
