Haryana CM Nayab Saini Unveils ₹47.36 Crore Development Projects in Nuh at Viksit Sohna–Tauru Rally

Projects spanning education, solar energy, water conservation and civic infrastructure launched to boost balanced growth in Mewat region.

Nuh: In a major outreach initiative in the Mewat region, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth ₹47.36 crore in Nuh district. The announcements were made during the ‘Viksit Sohna–Tauru Rally’ held at the grain market in Tauru.

Addressing a large gathering, the Chief Minister Nayab Saini reiterated the state government’s commitment to strengthening grassroots infrastructure and ensuring balanced development across all districts. The projects span multiple sectors including education, sports, renewable energy, water conservation and civic infrastructure, reflecting a comprehensive approach to regional progress.

Foundation Stones Laid for Projects Worth ₹25.58 Crore

The Chief Minister Nayab Saini  laid the foundation stones for five major projects totaling over ₹25.58 crore. These include the construction of village libraries in 10 villages at a cost of ₹2.62 crore through the Mewat Development Agency (MDA), and a modern District Library-cum-Excellence Centre in Nuh estimated at ₹15.46 crore. A residential facility for the CEO of MDA will also be built at a cost of around ₹2.25 crore.

Additionally, conservation and restoration work at the historic Maqbara complex will be undertaken with an investment of approximately ₹2.25 crore. To promote sports at the grassroots level, ₹3 crore has been allocated for redeveloping the stadium in village Jhamuwas.

Projects Worth ₹21.27 Crore Inaugurated : Nayab Saini

Apart from laying foundations, the Chief Minister Nayab Saini  inaugurated projects valued at ₹21.27 crore. Nearly 25 government schools in the district now have newly developed playgrounds built at a cost of ₹1.37 crore.

In a push for environmental sustainability, three earthen dams and seven crate-wire water harvesting structures have been constructed in the protected Aravalli forest area at a cost of ₹1.73 crore. To encourage green energy adoption, hybrid solar power plants costing ₹4.92 crore have been installed in 40 government schools, 17 Primary Health Centres and six Community Health Centres.

To strengthen academic competitiveness in the Mewat region, a dedicated NEET/JEE coaching centre has been established in village Madhi (Nagina block) at a cost of ₹2 crore. Government schools across the district have also been equipped with a facial biometric attendance system worth approximately ₹2.5 crore to improve monitoring and accountability.

Boost to Education and Civic Infrastructure

Higher education infrastructure in Tauru has been enhanced with the construction of six new classrooms at HLG Government College at a cost of ₹1 crore. An Atal Kisan Canteen has also been set up at the Tauru grain market with an investment of ₹24 lakh to benefit farmers and visitors.

At the Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Tauru, modern facilities have been developed with a contribution of ₹3.65 crore from M3M. Civic amenities have also been upgraded, including the development of a pond in Ward No. 9 of Tauru costing ₹1.90 crore, aimed at improving water management and the local environment.

In Sohna, the renovation and beautification of Fawwara Chowk have been completed with an outlay of ₹1.95 crore, enhancing public convenience and the town’s visual appeal. Infrastructure strengthening works have also been carried out in village Sejawas in Sohna, contributing to comprehensive rural development in the region.

The development package underscores the Haryana  Nayab Saini government’s focus on inclusive growth and long-term infrastructure strengthening in the Mewat belt.
