Tauru (Nuh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini on Sunday addressed a massive gathering at the ‘Viksit Sohna–Tauru Rally’ in Tauru, praising the Tauru region for its hardworking and self-reliant people. He said the Mewat belt, situated amid the Aravalli hills, has long been known for its courage, sacrifice and dignity. From the 1857 First War of Independence to India’s freedom struggle, the contribution of the region’s residents has been historic and enduring, he added.
Extending greetings on the occasion of Mahashivratri, the Chief Minister said the festival symbolizes spiritual strength and self-reflection. He remarked that Lord Shiva’s teachings inspire people to light the lamp of introspection in times of darkness. He prayed for health, peace and success for every family in the state.
Before addressing the rally, Nayab Saini inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 16 development projects worth ₹47.36 crore in Nuh district. This included the inauguration of 11 projects valued at ₹21.77 crore and the foundation laying of five projects amounting to ₹25.58 crore.
Nayab Saini said the large turnout at the rally reflected people’s trust in the policies and welfare initiatives of the Bharatiya Janata Party government. According to him, this public confidence has enabled the BJP to serve Haryana for a third consecutive term. He assured that the government remains committed to ensuring inclusive and accelerated development in the region.
Sohna Assembly Sees Accelerated Growth
Highlighting development in the Sohna Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister Nayab Saini stated that over the past 11 years, 62 announcements were made for the area, out of which 49 have been completed while 13 are underway. He noted that ₹1,515 crore has been invested in development works in Sohna during this period, compared to ₹222 crore spent during the previous Congress government’s 10-year tenure.

Nayab Saini further informed that between 2014 and 2024, the Public Works Department spent ₹285 crore on infrastructure projects in Sohna. Since 2024, an additional ₹5.70 crore has been utilized, while projects worth ₹407 crore are currently in the pipeline.
The Chief Minister Nayab Saini also shared that construction of the Sub-Divisional Complex in Sohna is progressing rapidly, with administrative approval of around ₹41 crore. The facility is expected to centralize administrative services under one roof.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, ₹12.10 crore has been sanctioned for the repair of three roads. Additionally, underground drinking water reservoirs and pipeline networks have been completed in 54 villages of Tauru block at a cost of ₹40 crore.
CM Nayab Saini Targets Opposition Over Pension Row
Responding to criticism from the Opposition over pension issues, Nayab Saini said those questioning the government should reflect on their own tenure, during which pensions were allegedly delayed for up to six months. He emphasized that over the past 11 years, the BJP government has increased pensions by ₹2,200. Reassuring senior citizens, he said there is no need for concern regarding pensions and highlighted the state’s healthcare schemes aimed at supporting the elderly.
The Chief Minister Nayab Saini reiterated that the government’s focus remains on balanced development, improved infrastructure and social welfare across Haryana.
