In a significant move to accelerate development across the state, the Haryana Government has finalized procurement processes for over 40 departments. The decision came during a meeting of the High-Powered Purchase Committee chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Saini . Proposals for projects in departments including Power, Public Health, Public Works, Irrigation, Transport, and IT were approved, and tenders for several key development works were issued.
CM Nayab Saini emphasized that the government’s primary goal is to provide quality and improved facilities to citizens. He directed officials to regularly monitor all projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards. The Chief Minister assured that he would personally oversee progress and ensure judicious use of public funds, warning that no negligence in development works would be tolerated.
Nayab Saini : Drinking Water Projects Approved
The committee approved tenders for two Ranney wells and a boosting station under the AMRUT-2 scheme in Palwal city, at an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore, to provide clean drinking water. Additionally, a 6 MLD capacity water works in Sirohi Bahali, Mahendragarh, was approved at Rs 53.47 crore, benefiting 39 nearby villages. An 8 MLD raw water storage tank in Rewari city was also sanctioned at Rs 27 crore to strengthen the urban water supply.
Roads and Building Infrastructure
Road improvement projects include Rs 37.89 crore for strengthening the Chhuchhakwas–Matanhail road in Jhajjar and Rs 46.20 crore for the Dharsul–Ratia road in Tohana. Educational and administrative infrastructure projects include a Rs 9.37 crore academic block at Government Women’s College, Gurugram, a Rs 13.60 crore Excise Building in Fatehabad, and a Rs 12.80 crore HSIIDC Facilitation Centre in Sohna to support industrial growth.
Urban Transport Expansion
CM Nayab Saini announced that the procurement process for 200 city electric buses for Faridabad and Gurugram under the Prime Minister City Bus Service has been completed. Electric bus depots will be constructed in Ambala at Rs 13 crore and Hisar at Rs 14 crore. The Transport Department will also acquire 19 cranes, and a Gymkhana Club will be built in Faridabad at Rs 16.50 crore.

Security and Energy Sector Investments
The Police Department has completed procurement of 163 single-door and 183 multi-zone metal doors with integrated CCTV for district secretariats and other government offices.
In the energy sector, transformers and equipment worth Rs 57.25 crore will be procured for seven new 33 KV substations in Panipat and Karnal, while equipment worth Rs 62.75 crore will be used for seven substations in Sonipat, Rohtak, and Jhajjar. New 66 KV substations are planned in Musimbal, Ambala, and Saidopur, Yamunanagar at Rs 40 crore, while a 66 KV substation will be constructed in Dharuhera, Rewari at Rs 33.75 crore, and a 220 KV substation in Sector-75A, Gurugram at Rs 75 crore.
Additionally, a bridge will be built in Damla village, Yamunanagar at Rs 13.39 crore, and Rs 97.45 crore will be invested in remodeling four RD of the Bhaloth Distributary in Rohtak to enhance its water-carrying capacity.
