Ahmedabad/Somnath/Devbhumi Dwarka/Junagadh/Porbandar, Gujarat: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has officially launched its “Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra” from Somnath, Gujarat, aimed at raising the voices of farmers and addressing their long-standing issues.
The Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra (journey) was inaugurated with blessings at the Somnath Mahadev temple, where AAP Gujarat state president Isudan Gadhvi, Front Organization State President Praveen Ram, and State Organization General Secretary Manoj Sorthiya led party leaders and workers. Following the temple visit, Isudan Gadhvi formally flagged off the Parivartan Lao, Kisan Bachao Yatra.
A large number of farmers, local leaders, and party workers joined the event, expressing enthusiasm and commitment to fight for their rights.
Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra : Farmer Issues at the Forefront
Addressing the media, Isudan Gadhvi highlighted the hardships faced by farmers, stating that 54 lakh farmer families in Gujarat are suffering. He emphasized that many farmers are not receiving fair prices for their crops, face electricity shortages, and inadequate supply of seeds and fertilizers. Additionally, benefits under crop insurance schemes are not reaching them. Gadhvi said AAP has been consistently raising these issues and aims to amplify farmers’ voices through this Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra .

He further noted that Praveen Ram, who spent 108 days in jail fighting for farmers’ rights, continues to lead efforts alongside Manoj Sorthiya to address these challenges. The yatra will traverse multiple constituencies in Gujarat, concluding on March 8 with a grand farmers’ convention, where AAP National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will attend.

Leadership and Commitment
Praveen Ram said that the Parivartan Lao, Kisan Bachao Yatra is undertaken with the blessings of Somnath Mahadev and the determination to free Gujarat farmers from their struggles. “For farmers, we are ready to even risk our lives. After 108 days of imprisonment, I am honored to be among farmers again,” he stated.
The Parivartan Lao Kisan Bachao Yatra will include village-to-village visits, where AAP leaders will listen to farmers’ grievances and take necessary action at every level. The party also plans further yatra initiatives in other regions of Gujarat following this campaign.
