New Delhi– Delhi State AAP Convenor Saurabh Bhardwaj has sharply criticized the BJP-led Delhi government under Rekha Gupta, accusing it of favoring private schools at the expense of students and parents.
Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that soon after the BJP government came to power in Delhi, private schools began hiking fees excessively, sparking chaos and forcing parents to protest on the streets. He described the situation as a “lottery for education mafias.”

Saurabh Bhardwaj: Delhi Law Shields Private School Fee Hikes
Saurabh Bhardwaj further alleged that the government quietly passed and implemented a law without public discussion, which, according to him, was designed to protect private school interests rather than those of students or parents.
Highlighting the latest development, Saurabh Bhardwaj stated, “Yesterday, the Rekha Gupta government surrendered in the Supreme Court, admitting that under their own law, the fee hikes by schools cannot be reviewed.”
Saurabh Bhardwaj accused the BJP government of prioritizing profits over public welfare, contrasting it with the Aam Aadmi Party’s focus on affordable and transparent education governance. “Students and parents should never be exploited through arbitrary fee increases,” he said.
This controversy underscores growing concerns over private school regulation and education reforms in Delhi, with AAP continuing to advocate for parents’ rights and accountability in the education sector.
