New Delhi– Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Azad of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sharply criticized the BJP government for its vision of a “developed India by 2047,” calling it unrealistic and out of touch with current realities.
Addressing the public and media, Sanjay Azad questioned, “The BJP is showing the false dream of a developed India in 2047—who will be around to see it then?” He argued that low allocations for critical sectors like education and health make such promises unachievable.

Highlighting the figures, Sanjay Azad pointed out that the BJP has kept the education budget at just 2% of GDP and the health budget also at 2%, raising doubts about the government’s commitment to human development. “How will they turn an uneducated India and an unhealthy India into a developed India?” he asked.

Sanjay Azad accused the ruling party of prioritizing slogans and political optics over real investment in public welfare, stressing the need for greater funding in education and healthcare to build a strong, self-reliant nation.
