AAP slams BJP as Delhi’s Mohalla Clinic falls into neglect; garbage piles outside disrupt free treatment services for residents.

Delhi : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sharply criticized the Delhi BJP government over the deteriorating condition of a local Mohalla Clinic, once known for providing free medical treatment to residents.

According to AAP leaders, the clinic now faces serious neglect, with heaps of garbage piled up in front of the facility, creating unhygienic conditions for patients. The AAP called this “a stark example of the BJP government’s continued disregard for Delhiites’ welfare.”

“This Mohalla Clinic was a place where people received free treatment,” said an AAP spokesperson. “Now, it stands neglected, with garbage piling up, making it unsafe for patients and families. The BJP government’s failure is visible to everyone.”

Local residents expressed frustration, highlighting that the unhygienic conditions discourage people from using the clinic, impacting healthcare access for low-income families. “This clinic was our lifeline. Today, it’s a health hazard,” said one resident.

The Mohalla Clinic initiative, launched years ago, was widely praised for offering accessible healthcare to Delhi’s underserved communities. Activists argue that the current state of the clinic reflects the administration’s broader neglect of public health infrastructure.

AAP Delhi leaders have demanded immediate intervention from the authorities to clean the premises and restore the clinic to its functional and hygienic state. “The government must ensure that essential healthcare services are accessible and safe for all citizens,” the party added.

No response has yet been issued by the Delhi BJP regarding the condition of the clinic. Meanwhile, the AAP has vowed to continue highlighting the government’s failure to maintain public health facilities in the national capital.
