New Delhi – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has raised concerns over the unfulfilled Delhi Women Allowance Promise, one year after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pre-election pledge to provide ₹2,500 per month to women in the national capital.

According to AAP MLA Sanjeev, despite the promise made before the elections that the allowance would be announced in the first cabinet meeting, women in Delhi have yet to receive any benefit. “It has been a year, and women have not received a single rupee,” Sanjeev said in a tweet on the official AAP page.

Criticism Mounts Over Unfulfilled Delhi Women Allowance Promise

The AAP has criticized the central government for failing to implement the Delhi Women Allowance Promise, arguing that such delays undermine public trust in government commitments. “When the Prime Minister himself breaks promises, how can people trust his party?” the MLA added.

The Delhi Women Allowance Promise was expected to provide financial support to women across the city, helping them meet daily expenses and improve their economic independence. However, the lack of execution has triggered criticism from opposition parties and raised concerns among citizens who were anticipating the scheme.

AAP leaders have urged the government to immediately fulfill the Delhi Women Allowance Promise and ensure timely disbursal of funds to eligible women. They emphasized that such schemes are crucial for women’s empowerment and economic stability in Delhi.

This delay in implementing the Delhi Women Allowance Promise comes amid growing discussions on women-centric welfare schemes in India, highlighting the need for accountability and prompt action from authorities.
