Contaminated Water Supply Reported Across Multiple Delhi Areas

New Delhi: Residents across several areas of Delhi have reportedly been receiving contaminated water through household taps, raising health concerns and public outrage. Complaints have come in from multiple neighborhoods, including Safdarjung Enclave, one of the city’s posh localities, where water supplied by municipal authorities has been described as dirty, foul-smelling, and unfit for use.

According to reports, citizens have been repeatedly alerting authorities about the quality of water, but their concerns have yet to be addressed. Many residents claimed that despite raising complaints through official channels, the situation remains unresolved, leaving them to rely on bottled water for drinking and household use.

AAP Slams Delhi BJP Govt for Inaction on Contaminated Water

The Delhi unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly criticized the state BJP government for its alleged inaction. In a statement, AAP leaders questioned whether the authorities were waiting for a major incident to occur before taking remedial action. The party highlighted the risks of waterborne diseases and emphasized the urgent need for proper monitoring, purification, and timely maintenance of water supply infrastructure.

“The contaminated water flowing from taps is not just an inconvenience; it is a serious public health hazard,” said an AAP spokesperson. “Residents, including families with children and elderly members, are being forced to consume unsafe water or Contaminated Water due to the negligence of the government.”

Water quality experts have also warned that prolonged exposure to contaminated water could lead to gastrointestinal infections, skin diseases, and other health issues, underscoring the need for immediate intervention.
