Delhi AAP criticizes BJP’s MCD budget for 2025–26 & 2026–27, citing no plans for air pollution, sanitation, education, or healthcare.
New Delhi: The BJP’s standing committee chairperson presented the revised budget for 2025–26 and the proposed budget for 2026–27 at the MCD House yesterday.
However, the budget has been strongly criticized by Delhi AAP leaders, including Ankush Narang, who described it as entirely “paper-based and hollow.” Narang highlighted the budget’s failure to address key issues affecting the city.

Critics pointed out several major shortcomings:

No concrete plan to tackle air pollution

Lack of a vision for sanitation and waste management

Absence of roadmaps for education, healthcare, children, and sanitation workers

Ankush Narang stated that while the BJP presents development in files and charts, the citizens of Delhi continue to face pollution, unclean streets, and poor civic services. He stressed that Delhi requires a budget that delivers tangible results on the ground, rather than just statistics or “paper promises.”
