AAP Delhi claims Sharma Enclave has been flooded with sewage for 8 months, blaming BJP for civic neglect as residents struggle and leave homes.
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly criticized the BJP-led government over severe sewage flooding in Delhi’s Sharma Enclave, claiming that the area has been living in unhygienic conditions for the past eight months.
In a post shared on AAP Delhi’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the party alleged that dirty sewage water has completely submerged the roads and lanes of the locality, making daily life miserable for residents. The post described the situation as “hell-like,” blaming what it termed the BJP’s “four-engine government” for administrative failure.

According to the post, local residents have stated that stagnant sewage water has remained uncleared for months, causing foul smell, health risks, and severe inconvenience. AAP further claimed that the worsening conditions have forced some families to abandon their homes and temporarily move elsewhere.
Visuals shared on social media show waterlogged streets filled with sewage, with pedestrians struggling to pass through flooded lanes. Residents can be heard expressing frustration over the lack of permanent solutions despite repeated complaints.

AAP leaders have demanded immediate action from civic authorities, including proper drainage repairs, regular cleaning, and accountability from responsible departments. The party also accused the administration of ignoring basic infrastructure issues affecting common citizens.
So far, there has been no official response from BJP or municipal authorities regarding the allegations. Residents continue to wait for relief as the sewage problem remains unresolved.
