AAP leader Kuldeep Kumar criticizes BJP Delhi government for moving ration card offices, making access difficult for poor citizens across the city.
Delhi AAP leader Kuldeep Kumar, during a press conference, strongly criticized the BJP-led Delhi government for a recent order affecting ration card holders. He alleged that the BJP administration’s policies have consistently ignored the needs of the common people, favoring the wealthy instead. Kumar said that since the BJP came to power in Delhi, residents have faced multiple hardships, including the closure of mohalla clinics and displacement from their homes.
Addressing the media, Kumar highlighted that the latest order has moved ration offices to locations that are far from the public, creating significant challenges for low-income residents who depend on these offices for essential services. “Earlier, every one of Delhi’s 70 constituencies had a dedicated ration office, ensuring that people could easily access the facilities they need. Now, this new arrangement has made it difficult for the common citizen to reach these offices,” he said.

Kumar emphasized that this change disproportionately affects poor families, who rely on ration cards for basic necessities such as food and essential commodities. He described the move as part of a broader trend where the BJP government appears to prioritize the interests of the rich over the welfare of ordinary Delhi residents.

The AAP leader also pointed out that the relocation of ration offices comes at a time when citizens are already facing difficulties due to rising living costs and limited access to public services. He called on the BJP government to immediately reconsider the decision and restore ration offices to their original accessible locations to ensure that low-income residents are not further burdened.
Kuldeep Kumar concluded by urging the administration to focus on policies that directly benefit the people, particularly the marginalized and underprivileged sections of society. He emphasized that the government must prioritize public welfare over political optics and administrative convenience.
