AAP Delhi criticizes BJP for dumping hazardous Bhalswa landfill waste in Kirari, threatening residents’ health and increasing cancer risk.
Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government over the dumping of toxic waste from the Bhalswa landfill in Kirari, calling it a serious threat to public health.
Delhi State Convener of AAP, Saurabh, tweeted, “The BJP government is turning the people of Kirari into cancer patients. The BJP has ruled the MCD for 15 years and left Delhi with three massive garbage mountains. Now, waste from Bhalswa is being lifted and spread in Kirari, putting residents at risk of cancer and other diseases.”

According to AAP, the garbage being dumped in Kirari includes non-biodegradable and hazardous material that can seep into the groundwater, pollute the soil, and pose severe health risks. Residents have raised concerns about foul odors, contamination, and the long-term impact on their health.

AAP has demanded immediate action from the Delhi government to stop the dumping of hazardous waste, clean the affected areas, and implement strict monitoring to prevent further public health risks. Saurabh emphasized that the BJP’s negligence has compromised the safety and well-being of Kirari residents.
The AAP’s criticism highlights growing concerns over Delhi’s waste management policies and the potential health crisis arising from decades of mismanaged garbage and unsafe dumping practices.
