The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly criticised the Modi government following reports of verbal abuse directed at women leaders of the All India Students Association (AISA) inside a Delhi police station, raising concerns over police inaction.
Senior AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh shared a video of the incident on X, alleging that AISA leaders Anjali and Neha were verbally insulted, including derogatory remarks about their mother and threats to “remove their clothes,” all reportedly in the presence of police personnel.

Sanjay Singh said, “In Delhi, the national capital where the President, Prime Minister, and Home Minister reside, security is of the highest importance. Earlier, even minor incidents like stones thrown at Irfan Habib at Delhi University drew nationwide attention. But this incident, inside a police station, is far more shameful.”
He added, “Women leaders Neha and Anjali were abused and threatened with stripping in the presence of police officers. Yet, there is complete silence and no action. If such an incident had occurred in Tamil Nadu, Punjab, or Bengal, it would have sparked an uproar. But in the national capital, those responsible remain unchallenged.”

Highlighting the caste and regional backgrounds of the women, Singh noted, “One leader is from Bihar, the other from Uttarakhand, both upper-caste. Despite this, raising their voices for the rights of the marginalized was treated as a crime. Under PM Modi’s government, there has been no accountability. Where is the protection promised under the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign?”
He urged citizens to speak out and demand accountability, emphasising that the silence of authorities undermines the rights and safety of women raising their voices for justice.
