AAP Delhi warns BJP of non-biodegradable waste near residential colonies, risking groundwater contamination and public health in Delhi.
New Delhi – The Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP Delhi ) unit has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of irresponsibly dumping approximately four feet of non-biodegradable waste near residential colonies, raising serious concerns over environmental safety and public health.
AAP Delhi convenor Saurabh shared images and information on the party’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, alleging that the accumulated waste poses a severe risk of seeping into the groundwater, potentially contaminating the drinking water supply for nearby residents.

“Non-biodegradable waste dumped in residential areas is extremely hazardous. If it contaminates groundwater, the consequences for public health could be dire. The BJP government must immediately stop this reckless practice,” Saurabh stated in his social media post.
Environmental activists and residents have echoed concerns, emphasizing that unregulated dumping of industrial and non-biodegradable waste can lead to long-term soil degradation, health risks, and ecological damage.

AAP leaders have demanded that the Delhi government implement stricter monitoring of waste management and take immediate action to remove the toxic heap. They have also called for transparency in waste disposal projects and urged authorities to prevent similar hazards in other neighborhoods.
With Delhi facing mounting pollution and waste management challenges, such incidents have intensified debates on the city’s environmental policies and the responsibility of civic authorities to ensure safe and sustainable urban living.
