Delhi residents face dirty and contaminated tap water. AAP criticises BJP for inaction, raising concerns over public health and water safety.
New Delhi : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi has raised serious concerns over the supply of contaminated water in Rajouri Garden, highlighting that residents are being forced to use foul-smelling and unsafe water directly from their taps.
AAP Delhi X page post stated that “Sirsa ji, please take a look towards your assembly constituency as well… In Rajouri Garden, what people have in their hands is not this alkaline water, but the dirty and foul-smelling water being supplied through the taps.”

The party alleged that since the BJP government assumed power, complaints regarding water contamination have been persistent across multiple areas in Delhi, yet there has been little to no action to resolve the issue.
Residents of Rajouri Garden have reportedly been facing frequent instances of brownish, murky water with an unpleasant odor, posing health risks, including waterborne diseases. The AAP has urged authorities to conduct immediate testing of the water supply and ensure proper purification and safety measures are implemented without delay.
An AAP spokesperson stated, “The citizens of Delhi deserve clean and safe drinking water. The BJP government’s inaction is putting lives at risk, and urgent intervention is needed to address this public health hazard.”

The party has demanded transparency in reporting water quality and called for regular monitoring to prevent contamination and ensure that every resident receives potable water.
This comes amid ongoing criticism of civic issues in Delhi, including waste management and water pollution, which have repeatedly drawn attention from opposition parties. AAP has vowed to continue highlighting these issues to ensure accountability and proper governance in the national capital.
