Opposition leaders reacted critically to CM Nitish’s statements:
-
Congress leader Rishi Mishra questioned the government’s claims, highlighting Bihar’s low ranking in development indicators and the closure of factories, including ethanol units.
-
RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav described the assertions as hollow, pointing out the state’s low per capita income and ongoing industrial shutdowns.
NDA Leaders Defend Government Initiatives
BJP leader Suresh Rungta and JD(U) MLA Meena Kumari defended the government, citing the focus on industrial growth over the past five years. They added that generating one crore jobs for youth would accelerate Bihar’s journey toward economic prosperity.
Samriddhi Yatra and Saat Nischaya-3
The Samriddhi Yatra was launched on January 16, following the NDA’s landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, where the alliance won 202 of 243 seats, with results declared on November 14, 2025. CM Nitish reiterated that the Saat Nischaya-3 programme is designed to fulfill all development promises by 2030, positioning Bihar as a model developed state.
