Bihar CM Nitish Kumar declares assets of ₹1.65 crore; cabinet ministers like Samrat Choudhary report much higher wealth in official 2026 disclosure.
According to the most recent official report, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar claimed total movable and immovable assets totaling ₹1.65 crore, a minor rise of roughly ₹68,455 over the previous year.
The Bihar government posted the chief minister’s and his cabinet colleagues’ asset details on its website. According to PTI, the disclosure procedure is conducted on the last day of every calendar year and is required for all ministers.
According to the disclosure, Kumar has approximately ₹57,800 spread across several bank accounts and ₹20,552 in cash. His immovable properties are valued at over ₹1.48 crore, while his movable assets are assessed at about ₹17.66 lakh. In Dwarka, New Delhi, the chief minister has a single apartment in a cooperative housing community.
Kumar’s total assets were ₹1.64 crore in 2024, a little increase over the previous year. The declaration also mentions that he has 13 calves, 10 cows, and a car worth ₹11.32 lakh.
Several cabinet officials have assets that are substantially more than the chief minister’s, according to the data.
While his wife, Kumari Mamta, has ₹35,000 in cash, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has reported ₹1.35 lakh. Choudhary possesses immovable possessions, including non-agricultural land, valued at ₹4.91 crore and a rifle worth ₹4 lakh.
Vijay Kumar Sinha, another Deputy Chief Minister, has disclosed immovable assets valued at ₹48.46 lakh. In addition, he has a ₹77,181 revolver.
Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Food and Consumer Protection Minister Leshi Singh, Minority Welfare Minister Zama Khan, Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni, and Ministers Dilip Jaiswal and Ashok Choudhary are among the other ministers who have filed their asset declarations.
