The Smriti Mandhana T20I record has created history in Indian cricket as the star opener has become the highest run-scorer for India in T20 Internationals across both men’s and women’s cricket.

During the ongoing T20 series between India and South Africa, Smriti Mandhana achieved this landmark despite scoring only 13 runs in the first match at Kingsmead, Durban. The Smriti Mandhana T20I record now places her ahead of former India captain Rohit Sharma in the all-time list.

However, the Smriti Mandhana T20I record now stands at 4244 runs in 161 T20I matches, making her India’s leading run-getter in T20 internationals. Her record includes one century and 33 half-centuries, along with a strike rate of 124.45.

Smriti Mandhana T20I Record Among Women’s Cricket Legends

In women’s T20I cricket as well, the Smriti Mandhana T20I record places her second overall in the list of highest run scorers. New Zealand’s Suzie Bates leads with 4717 runs, while Mandhana follows with 4244 runs.

In the first T20I, India posted 157/7 in 20 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur played a captain’s knock of 47* while Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues contributed 34 and 36 runs respectively.
