New Delhi : The Board of Control for Cricket in India is preparing for a landmark edition of the BCCI NAMAN Awards 2026, scheduled to take place on March 15 in New Delhi. The ceremony will celebrate what the board calls India’s “Golden Year” in cricket, honoring multiple teams and players who helped the country secure five ICC trophies across various formats.
The BCCI NAMAN Awards 2026 will recognize standout individual performances as well as collective achievements across men’s, women’s, and junior international teams.
Shubman Gill to Receive Polly Umrigar Award
Among the biggest highlights of the BCCI NAMAN Awards 2026 is the Polly Umrigar Award for Cricketer of the Year, which is expected to be presented to Shubman Gill.
Gill has enjoyed a remarkable phase in his career, transitioning into leadership by taking over the Test and ODI captaincy from Rohit Sharma. The young star has maintained impressive consistency with the bat across formats, making him one of India’s most dependable performers.

Rahul Dravid to Receive Lifetime Achievement Honour
Former India head coach Rahul Dravid will receive the prestigious Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award during the BCCI NAMAN Awards 2026.
Dravid is being recognized for his immense contribution to Indian cricket, particularly for guiding the men’s team to victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and helping build a strong foundation that led to the successful title defense in 2026.
Meanwhile, legendary former captain Mithali Raj is also expected to receive a Women’s Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contribution to Indian women’s cricket.
Recognition for Domestic Cricket Stars
The BCCI NAMAN Awards 2026 will also highlight achievements in domestic cricket, recognizing emerging talents and top-performing associations.
- Lala Amarnath Award: Rising Mumbai all-rounder Ayush Mhatre is expected to win the award for the best all-rounder in domestic limited-overs cricket.
- Best Domestic Association: The Mumbai Cricket Association is likely to be named the best association after a dominant season in tournaments such as the Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Celebrating India’s Golden Era in Cricket
In a first-of-its-kind celebration, the BCCI NAMAN Awards 2026 will bring together players from five different World Cup-winning squads. The board will felicitate champions from:
- Senior Men – ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 and ICC Champions Trophy 2025
- Senior Women – ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025
- Under-19 Men and Women – ICC U19 World Cup winning teams of 2025 and 2026
During the gala, members of the men’s T20 World Cup 2026-winning squad are also expected to officially receive their ₹131 crore prize money, making the event even more special.
