All six were admitted to a military hospital in Jalandhar Cantt, but the truck driver who hit their vehicle fled.

 

Six soldiers were injured when a truck crashed with their vehicle on the Jalandhar-Amritsar national highway early Saturday morning.

 

According to police, the accident occurred at 5 a.m. on the way from Jalandhar to Amritsar in an army vehicle.

 

On the other side of the barrier, a truck driver on his way to Jalandhar lost control and collided with an army truck on the highway.

The accident threw the army vehicle into the air, where it landed upside down a few metres away.

 

The accident caused complete damage to the automobile. The army jawans are receiving medical attention at the army hospital in Jalandhar cantonment.

The motorist who caused the accident managed to flee after discarding his truck.
