Rao Narbir Singh hailed the Japan visit as a major investment success, with MoUs worth ₹5,000+ crore signed to boost Haryana’s agriculture, industry, and environment.
The recent visit to Japan, which was led by Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, has been exceedingly successful from an investment perspective, according to Haryana’s Minister of Industries and Commerce, Rao Narbir Singh. The visit resulted in the signing of 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with numerous prominent Japanese corporations, which collectively represent investments exceeding Rs 5,000 crore. This visit will serve as the commencement of a new era in the development of Haryana’s agriculture and environment.
Japan’s commitment and work culture are the country’s greatest strengths, according to Rao Narbir Singh. The companies in Japan fulfill their commitments with the uttermost sincerity and within the stipulated timeframe. He stated that Japanese investment in Haryana is not a novel phenomenon. The initial unit of Maruti Udyog Limited was established in the old Gurugram in 1980, when he was appointed as a minister. Currently, the state is home to over 500 Japanese enterprises, which are actively engaged in the industrial development of Haryana.

He further stated that the Kubota Tractor Company will be instrumental in the agricultural development of Haryana. In the environmental sector, the quality of life of citizens will be improved through the development of cities through green energy, electric vehicles, smart mobility, green buildings, and sustainable infrastructure. He stated that agreements were signed with reputable companies, including AISIN, Air Water, TASI, Namboob, Denso, Sojitz, Nissin, Kawakin, Daikin, and Toppan, during the Japan visit. These agreements will create new employment opportunities for thousands of young people.
Rao Narbir Singh stated that Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini had proclaimed the development of ten new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) in his Budget address for the year 2025–26. Five of these IMTs have already been approved. The government intends to collaborate with Japanese corporations to develop one of these IMTs. The Haryana Government is amending its industrial policy to promote electric vehicles valued at up to Rs 40 lakh. This is being done in order to achieve this. This policy will not only benefit the middle class but also emphasize the development of renewable energy.

He further stated that it is a source of pride for him to have closely observed and experienced the working manner and investment culture of Japanese companies during his four tenures as a minister since the 1980s, as a native of Gurugram
