Chandigarh, January 4 – The much-anticipated Ayushman Card Bumper Draw, organized by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is scheduled to take place on January 9, 2024. This draw is a part of a special initiative aimed at encouraging maximum enrollment under the Ayushman Bharat Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana, a health insurance scheme designed to provide comprehensive healthcare coverage to residents of Punjab. The draw will be held at the Camp Office of Punjab State Lotteries, located in the Zila Parishad Complex in Ludhiana, and is open to the public.
The Diwali Bumper Draw was first introduced on October 16, under the guidance of Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh. It offers an exciting opportunity for those who enrolled for the Ayushman Bharat health card during the special registration period to win prizes, with the first prize valued at ₹1 lakh, the second prize at ₹50,000, and the third prize at ₹25,000. In addition, there are prizes of ₹10,000 and ₹8,000 for the fourth and fifth places, and six smaller prizes of ₹5,000 each for those in the sixth to tenth spots.
Initially, the bumper draw campaign was scheduled to end on November 30, 2023. However, the overwhelming public response prompted an extension until December 31, 2023, allowing more residents the chance to register for the Ayushman Card and participate in the draw. Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Agency, Mrs. Babita, reported that more than 3.21 lakh residents registered for the health card during the promotion period, demonstrating the program’s popularity and the eagerness of the public to be part of the healthcare scheme.
According to Mrs. Babita, the selection of winners will be conducted randomly, ensuring a fair and transparent process. Those who obtain an Ayushman Card during this draw period are eligible to be among the ten lucky winners. The prizes are intended to motivate residents not only to enroll in the Ayushman Bharat Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana but also to enhance awareness about the healthcare benefits provided through the scheme. The CEO emphasized that the initiative seeks to make healthcare accessible and affordable for all Punjab residents.
For further details, beneficiaries and interested parties can visit the State Health Agency’s official website at www.sha.punjab.gov.in. The draw results will be published on the website, and winners will also be notified through multiple media channels. The department encourages the general public to attend the draw in Ludhiana and witness the event.
In addition to the prize incentives, the Ayushman Bharat Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana offers beneficiaries substantial healthcare benefits, covering a range of services and treatments. By promoting the scheme through this bumper draw, the Punjab Government aims to increase the number of citizens under health coverage, especially those in economically weaker sections. The scheme’s popularity is a promising sign that Punjab is making strides towards a healthier, more secure future for its people.
The public is encouraged to attend the January 9 draw at the Zila Parishad Complex in Ludhiana to be a part of this exciting event.
