Two political heavyweights will demonstrate their dominance in the district on Friday as Sirsa district gets ready for the approaching Assembly elections.

Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, will speak at a “Badlav Jansabha” in Dabwali, while Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the former chief minister of Haryana, is scheduled to host a gathering for Congress members in Sirsa.

Mann is scheduled to speak to the “Badlav Jansabha” at the grain market in Dabwali.

Although AAP and Congress ran jointly for the Kurukshetra seat in Haryana and were a part of the INDIA coalition in the Lok Sabha elections, they would now face off against each other in the Assembly elections.

The Punjabi belt close to the Punjab border was the AAP’s target area for candidate fielding.

Pradeep Sachdeva, the district AAP leader, announced that the party will launch its campaign on July 26 with a rally in Dabwali.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, state president of the party Sushil Gupta, senior vice president Anurag Dhanda, and agriculture minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian will all be the keynote speakers at the gathering.

Sachdeva predicted that the public’s acceptance of the AAP would be demonstrated by this rally at the grain market in Dabwali.

Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the state’s former chief minister, will also speak at a thanksgiving gathering for Congress employees in Sirsa on Friday.
