Punjab being accorded step motherly treatment by center, Dr. Baljit Kaur

Chandigarh, October 22 : Farmers of Punjab are being accorded step motherly treatment by the center govenrment and are left to fend for themselves in the grain markets.  Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur stated in a press statement issued here today.

Cabinet Minister stated that the central government has always ignored pleas or the people of Punjab, especially the farmers. She said that the farmers’ demand for MSP has not been met and at the same time the but the central government is deliberately not picking the crop at the specified time from mandis across the state.

The Minister informed that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann himself met the Union Minister, but despite this, the Center is not making space in the warehouses of Punjab for new crop to be stored.

She added that the condition of the farmers and labourers of the state, for which BJP led center government is responsible, is in front of the people. She said that the people of the state understand everything and they will give the answer to the central government very soon.

She added that the central government was falsely holding Punjab responsible for the problems that center has created. She said that people are fully aware who is really responsible and they shall give a befitting reply soon.
